Portulaca

The flower is found- the manz favorite, portulaca. It isn't exactly the variety he was looking for, but it is better than the smaller portulacas we bought at Wal-mart on Memorial Day (they have the skinny leaves). Orange, apricot, yellow, red-pink he planted them around the rose bush and then went back to Wal-mart (we are living there, it seems) to acquire some hanging baskets and a long interior flowerbox thing for the inside of the porch. Other find were some Lantana's - yellow, purple, dark red, orange... there was a beautiful one that was light yellow and purply-pink, but it only came in a huge planter arrangement. While we were out also scored an excellent home-depot deal on mis-matched paint, enough to do the interior of the house. It is different- not exactly an off white but more of a buff color, we are going to do the trim in white, so it will be a neutral clean color that goes with everything and looks nice.

The house is amazing...it's like moving in all over again. Which it kinda is- the combining and recreating. The discussion about 'Where to put the TV' which will not be solved, but is an ongoing question- living room or studio? (I like to work while I watch, so I'm leaning towards studio, therefore limiting my mess to one room...) and the seating is odd in the living room because of all the doors (4), the big window and the fireplace.... it will work out, been a busy day and I want to watch tv not think about it... time to rest for the day... and hey, It's SUMMER! YaY!
